Painting, sculpturing and other creative work is most often lonely work. This is one good reason for creating networks between artists. Another reason is the joy of working together, making new friends and having real good time with a group. Working internationally gives new angles and opens new possibilities for all. It has a potential to stimulate others for creating cross-cultural networks and reach broader public.
Creations of Eve is a joint initiative of a Sweden based network of women artists called GalleryQ and a similar network in London.
The main intention of this current exhibition is to create an international women artist's forum as a series cross-border cultural projects.
One of our exhibiting artists, Sally Grumbridge, is donating a percentage of receipts from her works sold at the exhibition to Breast Cancer Haven, a charity with bases in London, Hereford and Leeds offering support, information and complementary therapies to women with breast cancer.
We are aiming at improving physical, virtual and mobile promotion of art & other related creative expression as well as development of
experimentation, sharing, exchange of relationships and building
up common knowledge of creative projects.
