It is supported by Archbishop Desmond Tutu who says……

…..”We can all make a difference to someone somewhere and through
the Bethesda Foundation empowerment programme you can change a life
of hopelessness to its glorious counterpart….”

The Arts Centre at Nieu Bethesda has found expression in the Arts Centres textiles training
programme. Participants are encouraged to think as artists, art training is provided to develop
drawing skills and individually designed pieces of work designed to express stories and subjects
from their own lives are produced.

They have launched their own designer label “Pomegranate” and supply galleries and designer
shops in Johannesburg taking commission from South Africa and UK.
